It is found in Lesotho, KwaZulu-Natal, Transvaal, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Congo, Kenya, Uganda and on Madagascar. It is also present in India, China, Korea, Indonesia (Sumatra), Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Himalayan region.
