Bissextus

Leap day (24 or 29 February)

Bissext, or bissextus is the leap day which is added to the Julian calendar every fourth year and to the Gregorian calendar every fourth year except in years evenly divisible by 100, unless they are divisible by 400, to compensate for the roughly six-hour difference in length between the common 365-day year and the actual length of the solar year.
