Cell fusion

Cell fusion is an important cellular process in which several uninucleate cells combine to form a multinucleate cell, known as a syncytium. Cell fusion occurs during differentiation of myoblasts, osteoclasts and trophoblasts, during embryogenesis, and morphogenesis.
