Ge with stroke and descender

Cyrillic letter used for /ʁ/ in Nivkh

Ge with stroke and descender is an additional letter of the Cyrillic script used for the transcription of the Nivkh languages, where it transcribes the voiced uvular fricative, like the r of French. It is composed of the letter ge with a horizontal bar across the middle and a descender or hook from the base. In Unicode it is called "Ghe with stroke and hook". There are two common designs: the original form with a straight descender, and a variant with a hook designed by Просвещение (Enlightenment) publishing house.
