Googleshare is a measure of mindshare based on the results of Google search engine queries. It is a percentage measuring how closely one thing belongs to another according to page counts returned by Google. The idea was proposed by Steven Berlin Johnson in a 2002 weblog post, and the term was coined by Gene Smith.
