June 4, 1993, derecho

On June 4, 1993, a severe derecho swept across the Midwestern and Eastern United States. The most significant damage was reported in portions of southern Virginia, especially Lynchburg. This derecho caused widespread wind damage reports in a swath from Missouri eastward into much of Kentucky into Virginia and North Carolina.
